The Klitch Family

Earlier this week I got to meet an awesome new family who have a beautiful family and home. Karson was a gem to work with! :) Check out there sneak peek here. I got a load of quality photos but here are some of my favorites:

The other day I received an e-mail from a lady saying that she saw my work and was interested in getting photos done. Now it's not everyday that I get these types of e-mails so I was super excited but in the past these types of emails had always fissiled and not really led to anything so I was of course a little skeptical. But this one turned out great. Felicia and her family were fantastic and live in a beautiful home. I am super excited to share these but for now here is a mild taste of the delicious little baby Karson and the Klitch family :)

Gilliland Wedding

About a week ago you all got to share a really special moment with me: my first wedding. I again, cannot thank Jenn from Cherished Snapshot enough for the opportunity. Here is the final product, just a tasting.

Wyatt's Birth Announcement

Another successful digital design in the bag. I did Tessa's maternity portraits as well as Wyatt's newborn portraits and then got the honor of designing his birth announcement.

Sneak Peek! First wedding. Ever.

So I begged and begged my favorite photographer to cut me a break and let me shoot behind her at her first wedding of 2011 to build my portfolio. First I have to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Jenn Hafelfinger of Cherished Snapshots. It was great. I didn't go to the reception because I have prior plans I had to stick to but I got some great shots.

Frosty

I commute to south Denver from Platteville two times a week so I leave my house super early. Sun doesn't even start to come up until I hit the middle of downtown Denver. The summer's are really nice but this winter was nice until it started to get so cold. Lately it is bitterly cold and it hasn't been so nice but the other morning when I walked out it was SOOOO pretty. Here are some shots.

Brrr. SO COLD!

We were have a nice warm "winter" and everyone was so bummed about not having snow. Um, are y'all crazy!?!?! Maybe it's because I have a 60 miles, one way commute to work or maybe it's because hauling a toddler around in deep snow is NO FUN, either way I was NOT happy to see the snow come, except that maybe it will help with my static issue.

Ok, anyways, we went from super warm to SUPER biter cold over night. It was so cold and so dreary. I hated it, but it presented good photos who eh, whatev.

It's our life.

Cows, that is. Is our life. Darren works with cows all day, everyday. I work for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. Both of us have animal science degrees. I'd say we are consumed with cows. Luckily we both like it. I had some spare time the other morning and took some pictures of some bulls down on Lorenz which is the bull development center. 

 

Cold Winter Night

I'm not sure what sparked my desire to see if my camera would take a good shot at night but I really wanted a picture of the cows at the feed bunks in the snow. Definitely a bigger trick than I thought. But I snapped a few cool ones.
